Fire Drama on London's Burning set
Amazed
firefighters were called to a blaze yesterday at the
studio where TV's London's Burning is filmed.
The
fire, which destroyed paint and props, started in a
warehouse as two workmen were using a grinder.
none
of the ITV show's stars was at the studio, just 300 yards
from the Big Brother house in Bow, East London.
A
witness said last night: "The workmen tried to put
out the fire with extinguishers, but eventually had to
call out the real fire brigade.
Cast
"None
of the London's Burning stars were around - but I bet the
workmen wished they had been.
"When
the professionals came along, they put it out within
minutes."
A
London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "We were called
out to deal with a fire at the studios in Bow, at around
5pm.
"It
involved studios six and seven, and was put out quite
quickly. It was not a big fire."
A
London's Burning spokeswoman said: "The cast are on
holiday, and none was involved."
