PART 1
Carole wakes up at 7:30 and gets up and pulls the curtains,
waking up Martin. Stephen and his fellow classmates are woken up
in their dorms. Stephen is assured by his teacher that he'll soon
fit in. Bruno jumps up at Geoff as he picks up a letter, he has
received an interview for the sub's position in Hampshire.
Stephen walks through the school canteen, then sits alone at a
table amongst other children as the watch arrive at work. The
bell for next lesson at the school later goes and Stephen goes
back down to the dorm, telling a teacher that he's left his
science book in there, when he arrives, he sits and reads a
letter from Jack, which as £20 enclosed.
At role - call, Nick decides that he wants Carole to do her first
drill. Carole decides to do a drill using ladders where the watch
have to transport things from one appliance to another, without
touching the floor.
Two men work on some cars in a garage. One man moves a car, which
has petrol leaking from it. The other man puts a light down,
which rolls down into the pit and smashes, exploding with the
petrol.
The bells go down at Blackwall, stopping the drill. They get
called to a fire at a garage and both appliances are needed in
attendance. When they arrive, one man has already gotten out, but
the other is still inside. Nick asks George to call for an
ambulance and Carole to set up a BA crew. The BA crew later pull
out the other man who is unconscious. Carole and Nick perform CPR
and he wakes up.
PART 2.
Recall talks to Laura on the phone, as Stephen arrives at the
station and asks for Jack. Recall says he'll go and get him, just
as the DO arrives, so Recall quickly hides Stephen in the watch
room, before talking to Chapman, he tells Chapman that there is
nothing to report and tells him about their previous shout.
In the mess, Geoff comments on wondering why Chapman is there as
Recall brings Stephen through to the mess. Jack leaves the mess
to go and ring Linda to tell her where Stephen is, as Maggie
gives Stephen some food. As Linda answers the phone, Jack tells
her that Stephen is fine and that he's at the station and he'll
bring him home later.
Nick gets informed by Chapman that he is being sent to a
Conference Centre, although Nick really doesn't want to go.
Chapman tells Nick that A.C.O. Baxter needs a report on the new
fire gear.
Carole and Jack later take Stephen into a room, before Carole
leaves them. Stephen tells Jack that he doesn't want to go back
to that school.
Chapman and Nick walk down to the appliance bay, where Nick
notices Stephen through the window in the door. After Chapman
leaves and Nick goes to the room, Carole follows and tells him
she'll explain everything in his office. In Nick's office, Carole
apologises before Nick tells her that she'll be acting up the
next week as he's going away on the Conference and he also tells
her that there was be a new bod on the watch who is transfering
from Thames Reach.
Jack takes Stephen home to Linda, where Stephen tells him he
enjoyed it at the station and Jack. Jack talks to Linda about Ian
wanting Stephen to go to that school so he's out of the way. They
argue and Linda goes to hit him, but they end up kissing as
Stephen walks in.
Carole arrives home to find Martin sitting in the chair holding a
beer, he lies, telling her that he'd been all the way to the job
centre. Carole unpacks her shopping as she tells Martin that
she'll be acting up in the next week. She brings up the subject
of having the watch talking to her about him being injured out of
the brigade when he wasn't, before storming out of the house.
PART 3.
Laura leaves to catch her train to Scotland. Recall sees her off
and promises that he'll arrange some time off to go up there and
see them.
An old man trims a hedge in his front garden. His dog appears
with a lead, so he leaves the hedge trimmer on a ladder and takes
his dog out. The man stops to talk to someone as his dog wanders
off to a lockup. He eats something on the floor, then lies down.
The Watch get called to a so - called Spillage. As the watch
arrive on the scene, Nick asks the police to try to get hold of
the owner of the lockup and the area is cordened off.
The owner of the lockup approaches Nick and tells him that it is
practically empty, he then passes through the barriers and goes
round to it, wher he unlocks the door. There is no spillage, just
something around the edge of the door, which was put there on
purpose, it's a dog repellant.
At the first screening of Macbeth, Maggie has stage fright and
refuses to go on stage. Derek and Sicknote try to talk Maggie
round and she eventually gives in and goes on stage. The
production goes really well and the croud love it.
Cyril and George arive at the building where the gym will be
made. Mrs. Elkins enters, followed by Mr. Elkins. George finally
gives in and agrees to become part of the business and is
welcomed by Elkins, who gives him a load of money to do
everything.
