PART 1

After role - call, the watch are informed that they've been chosen to trial a new set of uniforms. Sicknote moans that the last set of uniforms made them look more like a baseball team. Carole then informs them that they're in need of new uniforms and about Health and Safety. Jack comments that the Sub must've had her wheetabix that morning and she tells him that she had, then asks where he had his, down the pub? As she's heard they do breakfast down there these days! Pit Bull then moans at Recall about him being 700 quid out of pocket, even though he's better off than he could've been.

Marianne considers ringing Mick at work, but decides otherwise and he said he'd call her. Nick sits staring at his phone, also considering to call Marianne as Sicknote enters. Sicknote brings up the subject of Hallam and passing the old warehouse site the other day. He tells Nick that he's spoken to the lads and they all think that it's a good idea that they put up a permenant memorial on the site where John died. Nick also thinks it's a good idea, but tells Sicknote that he first needs to clear it with the Brigade, then Sandra Hallam. Nick tells Sicknote that he'll speak to the DO and leaves Sicknote to talk to Sandra.

Two Tone arrives at the station with the new uniforms and gives Recall the cold shoulder for defending Pit Bull, although Recall really didn't have any choice in the matter.

Nick finally rings Marianne, after she had left her hotel room, but she hears the phone ringing and quickly rushes in to answer it. Geoff then enters and Nick points out that he's on the phone, then Geoff leaves again. Marianne informs Nick that she's going out on the river down to Chelsea, then he asks her if she'd like to join him for dinner that evening.

The Watch aren't pleased with the new uniforms, although Geoff is the only one who seems to like them. Skip moans that they must've got Michael Jackson in for the new colours and Sicknote moans that they look like a load of cheap Belgium chocolates. They are explained that the orange - yellow is the natural colour of the fibres, making Billy pleased that their natural colour isn't pink!

In the mess, Maggie tells the watch that she thinks the new uniforms are very smart. Carole asks Geoff if Bruno is ok now, before later commenting on Jack jumping walls! The bells go down and the watch are called to a shout at the London Arena, which is in Eastern Command's area.

The fire turns out to be in a skip, which is next to the arena and Nick tells Jack to radio control before half of the brigade turn up, but they already do! The watch get the mickey taken out of them for their bright uniforms and Oldgit gets everyone singing 'Chariots of Fire', before Sicknote over powers them all and sprays them with the hose!

PART 2.

Costas and Evgenia make dinner and ask Nick is he's sure he doesn't want to join them. He tells them that he's going out to dinner and a lot of brigade people will be there.

Billy watches Lauren get in a car with a dodgy looking bloke. Billy follows her, where he tries to stop her ruining her life. Lauren doesn't want to know and Billy ends up getting knocked out by her pimp, before they drive away, leaving him unconscious in the road.

Carole sits watching the TV in her living room and Martin suggests that they go down to the Ship, she doesn't want to go so he suggests that they get a bottle instead. Carole reminds him that getting drunk isn't going to change anything and nothing is there between them anymore.

Nick and Marianne go out to dinner at a restaurant and they agree to spend the next day with each other as he's free until six when he's doing the night shift. They later go back to Marianne's hotel room where one thing leads to another...

Skip hears noises over him telecom, before pressing the button to open his door and Billy falls in.

Carole goes round to Jack's place, but he's not in. She then goes back to her car and waits. Jack then passes with Nicky and notices Carole in her car watching.

The next morning, Nick leaves Marianne's hotel room quickly. Telling her that he has to see his son before he goes to work.

Cling Film gives Geoff a lift to his interview for the Sub's post in Hampshire, where, on arrival, they are laughed at by the crew who are on duty. As Geoff waits for his interview, he recall's Hallam's death, before his nerves and feelings get the better of him, so he leaves the interview and tells Cling Film that it went ok.

Sicknote and Jean go round to Sandra's, where she explains that she has returned to work and is beginnning to get better. Sicknote then asks Sandra's opinion on the memorial and she likes the idea.

PART 3.

The Watch arrive at the station for their next shift, noticing how happy Nick seems. In the dorms, Sicknote explains to them all that everything has been cleared for the memorial and now all that they needed was the money for the plaque and suggests for what should be written on it. Skp and Billy enter and they immediately notice his cuts and bruises.

At a fair ground, a man who is in charge of a BBQ, goes to ask a man in charge of a ride for some petrol to get his BBQ going. He's pointed in the direction of a car boot, where he fills a jar up with petrol. Petrol is then put on the BBQ, which explodes slightly, but nothing comes of it.

As Carole starts role - call, Nick approaches Billy and sends him home, telling him that he's in no fit state for duty, much to his dislike. Recall later enters Nick's office, asking for a month's leave so that he can go up to Scotland. Nick asks Recall if he is definitely coming back and he tells him that he is.

A man fills a engine to a ride up with petrol, but it blows, setting the man alight with it. The crowds at the fairground scream and begin to run as the man runs around in flames and is put out by another man with his coat.

The bells go down and the watch get called to the scene. They arrive to find tents, a marquee and a shed alight. A man tells Nick that a woman is in the marquee. The fires are fought and Nick cuts a entrance in the marquee, which is away from the main fire. Skip is ordered to hose through as Carole and Skip go in. The woman is found and is taken out, then they are informed that another person is in there. Carole finds the woman and Skip helps her drag the woman out, but she's dead. Carole then discusses with Jack, how they were too late for the woman and he asks if it is too late for them!
