PART 1
Kate goes to see her GP, she asks for a pregnancy test and
explains what happened to her doctor, who thinks it's best that
she also has a test for any STD. She later goes home and informs
Mary that she'll know whether she's pregnant or not, in a couple
of days. Kate also tells Mary that she's considering having an
AIDS test, but Mary thinks Kate should go and see 'whatshisname'.
A man breaks into a porsche and his girlfriend gets in and they
drive away from the scene at full - speed. Later, they meet
another man and take the car into an old disused garage. The girl
and one of the men leave, leaving two people inside. The doors
get chained so no - one can get in or out. One of the men put a
tape on as the other starts working on the underside of the car.
It suddenly catches alight and a bucket of water is thrown over
the flames causing an explosion and the flames get larger. The
men try to get out, but they're locked in.
Malcolm enters Nick's office after being called up during role -
call. Nick asks him if he'll accompany a retired - fire fighter
for a day out with a brigade car. Malcolm informs Nick that he
has leave on the day Nick suggests as he's planning to see Helen
off at the airport.
In the mess Maggie and Kate talk. Kate arrives to find that the
watch had just left for a shout, Maggie then senses something is
wrong, but Kate is adamant that she's ok.
The watch arrive on the scene of the garage fire. Nick asks two
people who are standing nearby, if anyone is down there. A woman
informs him that no - one can be down there as it hadn't been
used for anything for ages. Crews are sent down anyway and Hallam
goes down and cuts the chain and informs Nick on the extent of
the fire. After the crew enter, there's a slight explosion so
Nick asks for another crew to go in. As he tackles the flames,
Recall notices gas cylinders. Debris in the building begins to
collapse and Kevin gets burried and his main valve begins to
leak. Malcolm and Sicknote then enter the fire and Colin and
Hallam rig - up, before going in to help the others free Kevin.
The girl and man arrive back on the scene, noticing the fire. The
girl rushes out of the car and tells George that her boyfriend is
down there. Inside the building, both Sicknote and Hallam notice
bodies.
PART 2.
Sicknote cycles over to Cynthia's with his text so they can
'reherse' for the production.
Malcolm attempts to tell Helen that Nick has put him down to show
a retired - fire fighter around the LFB museum. Helen goes on
about the brigade always coming first.
George arrives outside Kelly's parents house. Lil answer the
door, telling George that Kelly doesn't want to see him. After
Lil closes the door, George calls through the letterbox at Kelly,
hoping she will go down. Kelly finally goes up to her bedroom
window, where she calls George. He asks if she's ok and she tells
him that she can't go home, not when Beattie's still there.
Zoe moans at Colin about telling his mum about moving in with
her. But Colin is pre - occupied with the football on the TV and
isn't really listening. Zoe then turns the TV off, before arguing
a bit more with Colin and realising he'll never move out, then
she storms out of the room. Colin then tries to coax Zoe back in
the living room, through the crack in the door. He also puts the
TV back on, but the volume down, so he can still watch the match.
Colin promises to Zoe that he'll tell his mum and that he'll move
in with her at the weekend.
The next day... Malcolm introduces the retired - fire fighter to
different officers, he then has a tour of the London Fire Brigade
museum. The retired - fire fighter notices his medal on display,
which he was presented in 1940 after the Blitz. He explains that
he tried to put out trucks full of amunition, which nearly blew
up and he fell down flat.
Mary waits around outside the local police station, then
approaches Don as he leaves...
PART 3.
The watch are in the mess, the TV is on and no - one is watching
it. The majority of them are arguing about cards and Kate is
sitting alone with her thoughts. Sicknote is complaining to
Maggie about the vinegar in the food, although she explains other
watch's had it in their food, but no - one else noticed it or
even complained. Kate gets up and turns the TV off, not being
able to take it anymore as Nick and Hallam enter, who explains
that they're all going to be part of a basketball team.
Malcolm discusses the fire brigade with Reg - the retired - fire
fighter, who tells Malcolm that he couldn't have stayed in the
job if his heart wasn't in it.
Jean arrives home where Sicknote is washing up in the kitchen.
She tells him that she saw Sicknote while she was out and he
nearly drops what he was holding!
Kate arrives home to find Don in the living room, Mary suggests
that they should talk.
Bayleaf receives a postcard from Spain from Melanie. On the next
shift he tells Hallam about the postcard that he received and
that the postmark states Madrid.
Malcolm enters Nick's office where he hands Nick his form 10 -
his letter of resignation and informs Nick that he's resigning as
from today, as he has seven days of leave due and that he has to
catch a plane. He's going to Brussels with Helen. Nick asks why
he's leaving the brigade and Malcolm informs him that his heart's
not in the job.
Malcolm enters the dorms, where the watch are getting ready for
their shift. He informs them that he's resigned and that he's
