Charisma continues to blabber on about Big Ron, as Malcolm, George and Vaseline chorus 'BIG RON!' each time his name is mentioned!
The bells go down and the pump is put on standby at Stratford as the majority of the Brigade are tackling a huge blaze. The Pump Crew arrive at Stratford to find the food in the oven ablaze! It is quickly extinguished before the bells go down...
The Pump crew arrive on the scene where a nuclear container is leaking and ticking. As radiation is suspected, Tate orders that the pump is moved back. He tells Josie that she knows the deal with women and radiation and tells her to inform the public. The train driver and his guard continue to moan about being de-contaminated, but Tate rightfully points out that they don't know if they have been contamination yet and tells them to move their bums back to where the pump is!
The Borough Street Watch continue to bully Maddox and they tie him to a ladder and put him face down in a pool of water. As his fellow watch members walk away, Scouser kicks the ladder down, which unattaches it from where it was balanced, causing Maddox to fall into the water.
As the bells go down at Borough Street, Hallam notices Maddox and quickly orders that to take the Pump off the run, as the Pump Ladder speeds towards the shout. Hallam quickly pulls Maddox out of the water and attempts to revive him. As the paramedics take Maddox to hospital, Hallam is told that Maddox is still unconscious, but he is breathing.
Scase arrives on the scene of the nuclear container shout, where the driver and guard decide to make a complaint again Tate. Scase seems more concerned about the complaint, than the possibility of there being a radiation leak! Then as the Radiation Protection Officer arrives, Scase takes all the credit! It later turns out that there was no radiation, and that the leaking was just water and the ticking was caused by an object being left on top of the case.
A woman walks into the wine bar where Vaseline moonlights and asks after him. But she is informed that he only works there occassionally.
As the Pump crew arrive back at Stratford, Josie tells Bayleaf that she has passed her Leading Fire fighter's exams and asks him over to dinner to celebrate. He tells her he can't because he is seeing Clare, but they arrange another day.
Hallam tells the D.O. and A.D.O. that he does not think the Maddox incident was an accident. He also mentions the missing DSU from Maddox's BA at a previous shout.
The woman arrives at Vaseline's house looking for him. She introduces herself to Marion, she is Marion, his first wife and wants to £500 that Vaseline owes her. Marion moans that Vaseline has been sending both of his first wives money each week. Marion 1 tells Marion that she has never received a penny from Vaseline, Marion then invites her in.
Sandra has a go at Hallam about the Maddox case, telling him that he now has no chance of promotion. She thinks he should have taken no notice and he probably made things worse.
As Marion 1 tells Marion how she tracked Vaseline, he flirts with a posh woman at a garden centre! Marion 1 informs Marion that while she was married to Vaseline, she never knew where he was or what he was doing. She also informs her that she had been made redundant from Customs in Hull and because she has already spent her redundancy money; she is not entitled to benefits. Marion then invites Marion 1 to live with them!
Sicknote arrives home to see Jean singing with Dominic. Jean introduces Dominic to Sicknote, then she explains to him that Dominic has just moved to the area and he wants to join POPs. The producer has also called Jean and has asked her to help Dominic for his audition. Then, as Sicknote sits in his front room, he puts Dominic off his singing!
Vaseline arrives home and Marion has a go at him! She hasn't seen him for two days! Marion 1 then appears, saying how, when she was married to him, she didn't see him for 3 weeks once! Vaseline is horrified to see his ex, ex-wife and they begin to gang up on him!
Josie and Bayleaf have dinner, where Josie explains that she is not on a personal crusade. She seems to think Bayleaf doesn't believe her and the reception between the two of them is very frosty. Bayleaf asks what her problem is and Josie points out that if she knew things were so serious between him and Clare; she would have never invited him over.
