The Watch check the Dry Risers in a block of flats.

In the mess, Jaffa pins up a poster about a boxing match throughout the LFB. He explains that their area is the only area without an entered fireman and the match can only happen if there are opponents from each area. The Watch want George to enter, but he points out that he gave up boxing 6 years previous and that he would need months of training, not weeks!

Big Eddie turns up at Blackwall looking for Vaseline, but the Watch tell him they've never heard of a Roland. Malcolm then points out that there are four different Watches and that he can't be in Blue because they are and that he can't be in Red because they have just come on!

As George gets in his car, he finds Vaseline hiding inside. Vaseline explains that Eddie says he owes him a ton and that he's done time for GBH. Vaseline asks if he can stay with George.

Gerry goes round to see Josie and reveals that he has lost his job. He notices Josie's booklet about the Leading Fireman / Firewoman course and laughs at it. He also comments about her travel brochure and she reveals she's planning on going to Spain and jokes about the whole Watch going and sharing the one room!

Malcolm, Sicknote and Kevin visit Charisma in hospital. Charisma reveals that it is over between him and Donna.

Gerry and Josie talk about the 'happy times' as they sort through their record collection. Josie hopes that they won't be bitter.

Sandra and Hallam go to the pictures and out for a meal, leaving Albert with the kids.

David offers to give Josie a lift home from the night school, after seeing a group of youths messing around on the other side of the road. Josie accepts the lift. When they arrive to Josie's flat, David asks if he gets invited in, but she isn't sure. He then reveals that he needs the loo.

Sandra and Hallam arrive home from the cinema to find Albert on the sofa kissing an old woman from the old people's home! Sandra talks to Edith and asks her how long she's been living in the old people's home and will the Matron be worried about her seeing as she's out so late! Hallam reminds her that Edith is 74, not 14!

In Josie's flat, David starts to ask about her Fire fighting uniform and asks her if her colleagues find her attractive. He starts to get creepy and he grabs her front behind. Josie manages to fight him off with a knife and he leaves. Unknown to her, he's hiding in her toilet and as she goes to her front door, he jumps on her again. Josie ends up kicking him where it hurts and she chucks him out.

The Watch try to make George feel guilty about the boxing match, so he finally gives in!

The bells go down and Vaseline comments about Josie's 'love bite', which she tells him is a cold sore.

The Watch arrive on the scene to the block of flats, where they checked the Dry Riser outlets the day before. A gas heater started a fire by buring clothes on a dryer and as the Watch go up the stairs and go to use different dry risers; they discover that they have all been vandalised, so they have to haul the hoses up the side of the building. During the shout, Tate becomes breathless and Hallam sits him down.

After arriving back at the station, Tate talks to Hallam about his fears of the appliance not getting to the shouts on time and them not being able to pump water fast enough.

Albert and Edith elope to Edinburgh on a coach! Sandra is worried and asks Hallam if they should call the police!

Bayleaf gives Josie a lift home from work. She reveals that Gerry had borrowed her car and hadn't brought it back. At Josie's flat, they discuss the shout and Bayleaf mentions Josie probably having a date. Josie is angry. She moans about her the Watch have been going on at her all day and that she was nearly raped the night before.

Josie reveals that David had given a false name, false address and false job title to the night school, so the police were unable to track him down. Bayleaf tells her, she should have stayed at home and rang him. He also tells her he'd do anything for her and that she knows how he feels about her. Josie tells Bayleaf that she doesn't know how she feels about him because she hasn't got over Gerry yet.

Tate gets up really late in the morning and Nancy points out that she has been calling him for ages. Tate says she should have had a lay in, but Nancy points out that she would have never got any peace! Tate goes on to complain that his egg is runny, so Nancy throws it in the bin. Tate storms off to leave and Nancy tells him to see a doctor because he isn't right.

Kevin starts a bet for the boxing match and collects money from a Red Watch member who wonders where the money is going!

Tate doesn't turn up to work and Hallam waits until 9:25. Tate still doesn't arrive, so he is logged as absent without leave and Hallam rings Area Staff.

The Watch are called to a shout where a man is standing at the top of a scaffolded building, threatening to jump if they don't bring his girlfriend - Lorraine. The problem is, Lorraine is dead and died in a car accident where the man was at the wheel.

Malcolm, Sicknote, Vaseline and Tony go up and Malcolm tells the man that Lorraine is on her way. As they grab the man, Tony slips and is left dangling off of the side of the building and Vaseline has to pull him up.

Eddie finds Vaseline who quickly jumps into George's car and Eddie smashing it up with a sledge hammer! George punches Eddie and busts his hand!

Tate arrives home to see a frantic Nancy. He reveals he's been to Kent.

Josie tells Gerry about the attack and he couldn't care less. They argue and Josie slaps him. He slaps her back, before leaving. Charisma arrives home from hospital to find that Donna has started up a hair dressing salon in his front room! He's not happy and wants to speak to her in private.

Hallam and Bayleaf go to visit Tate and tell him he shouldn't be ashamed about needing to take a break. Tate tells them that he has been suspended and has been given a week off sick. A week later, Tate arrives back at work, to a warm welcome from his Watch.
