Josie moans about the treatment of an old lady at a previous shout. Hallam isn't sympathetic at all and has a go at her and Bayleaf points out that Hallam's father-in-law is staying with him at the moment and he isn't best pleased!

sicknote sings in the Watch Room, while practising for his leading role in the Penge Occasional Players' forth coming production of South Pacific. Tate tells him to shut up, much to the amusement of Vaseline, Kevin and Charisma.

Hallam phones Mr. Malik, in regard to a fire inspection, however Mr. Malik insures him that they have fire safety measures in place.

Gerry arrives at Josie's flat, only to fins she's changed the locks and is told by her neighbour that she is at work.

Dorothy is hassled in a shop about being 'Black man's meat'.

Hallam's father-in-law pulls up his plants, thinking they are weeds! Sandra isn't happy, especially when her dad says that Hallam is a poofter!

A prostitute, her punter and a woman get stuck in a lift. Hallam sends Kevin and Charisma up and they discover that the break release lever and wheel is missing. The women start to argue in the lift and pleads with Hallam and Vaseline to get him out because he feels ill! The prostitute and man are freed, but the woman has to wait until the lift is on ground level because she was too large to fit through the gap!

Tate's crew inspect Mr. Malik's factory. Tate is appaled and poits out fire regulations. Malcolm meets Samina and reveals to her that he was born in India and impressed her by speaking Punjabi!

Meanwhile at Blackwall, Sicknote hands out scripts to the remaining Watch members and they, along with Maggie, all sing in the mess! Hallam bursts in and isn't happy, especially when Maggie suggests that he should take a holiday!

At the factory, Bayleaf talks to Josie about Karen's depression and Josie suggests that Karen should get professional help.

Melanie arrives home from school to find Karen cutting up Bayleaf's clothes.

Gerry arrives at the pub, wanting to talk to Josie. They go outside to his car, where he reveals that he now has a job selling double glazing and that he wants them to try again. He goes on to make a crack about her and firemen, so she tells him if he wants half of everything; that he has to get a lawyer!

Hallam arrives home to find that Albert has pulled up his plants and he isn't happy and bans him from the garden!

Malcolm meets Samina as she finishes work and asks her out for a drink or dinner sometime. She agrees and laughs about him being posh and a fireman. Malcolm then gives her a lift home, although Samina points out that he won't be meeting her parents, it might cause her dad to collapse on his prayer mat!

Marion reveals to Vaseline that she's pregant and he isn't pleased!

Karen approaches Josie in the street and chucks her wedding ring at her. Josie gives it to Bayleaf and later receives a phone call from him, revealing that Karen has disappeared with Melanie again.

Samina reveals that she is working for Mr. Malik as a repayment by her father. Malcolm informs her that the factory will be closed down and Samina is worried because she will be out of a job.

Kevin beats Charisma at snooker and takes his money. George isn't happy and says that he should have never taken the money. Kevin says he'll let Charisma win it back.

Vaseline meets the prositute outside the station, but the bells go down, so he has to go. It turns out to be a false alarm, so he quickly rushes back, only to be called out again to a fire at the factory.

En route to the shout, Tate's crew are held back due to the problems with the appliance's gear box, so Hallam's crew drive forward. Malcolm quickly rushes into the fire without BA, where he finds Samina dead.

The next day, the Watch all attend Sicknote's production of South Pacific, all except for Malcolm, who is grieving.
