PART 1
A young boy is outside the station...
In the appliance bay Geoff begins role - call, calling everyone's
names. Adam then Sally call him 'Sub' then he reminds them that
while he's in charge, the appropriate form of address is 'Guv',
he goes onto call George's name and he says 'Guv'... The watch
stand at ease and Geoff pulls Adam to the side, asking him if
he's been drinking as he can smell alcohol on his breath. He says
he had a drink at lunchtime. Geoff steps him down.
The bells go down and Geoff asks Sally to take Adam's place in
the pump ladder as acting Sub Officer and the pump is kept off
the run.
After the appliances drive away Adam is livid, Frank warns him
about his drinking.
The young boy enters the station.
The pump ladder crew arrive on scene at a fire. Geoff walks
towards it and it explodes and he falls to the ground.
Frank is in the lockers at the station when a phone begins to
ring... he walks to Sally's area of the locker room and opens up
her locker, pulling out her mobile and answers it. It's Mick.
They talk for a moment and Frank asks if there's is any reason
for him calling, Mick excuses that he wanted to know how the
watch were doing. Frank asks if he has a message for Sal...
The boy is laying on a bed in the dorm, reading a porn magazine
that he found. He then hears someone approaching and hides, along
with the porn magazine and his bag, under the bed. Frank enters,
noticing the bag move and approaches the bed and looks
underneath.
Frank: "Out!"
Boy: "P*ss off!"
The pump ladder crew arrive back at the station, Andie approaches
George, telling him he forgot his solution and 'they'll' dry up
without it.
Adam approaches Geoff arguing about being stepped down. Geoff
says if they were in the army he would've been shot. Adam
continues to argue and Geoff orders him off of the premises and
tells him that he doesn't think it would be a good idea if he
came to the family day out the next day.
In the lockers Geoff moans that family days out don't sort
themselves out. He talks about planning a route and a second
route, there being children and having to take other things into
consideration - Shauna.
Mick, Shauna and Liam arrive at the B&B that they're staying
at. Shauna likes it and Mick explains that he and Liam cleaned it
up before they arrived.
In the mess... Charlie, Sally and Craig play Monopoly while
Charlie talks about trying to impress Lisa by being good with the
kids. Frank then enters saying he found a kid with a northern -
accent in the station and now he left him getting an earful from
Geoff. Sally quickly gets up, running towards the door...
In the lockers... Sally asks if Stephen - her nephew can stay at
the station, but Geoff says he can't, she then asks to go home
but she can't as they're already one man down. Frank finally
talks Geoff into letting him stay there and that Stephen will
behave. Geoff gives in, telling Sally to go and get him something
to eat and to keep him out of his sight. Sally leaves the room
with Stephen and Frank suggests to Geoff that he should call Mick
to ask him if he's going to go on the family day out.
In the B&B... Shauna tells Mick that she's had an affair. He
doesn't believe her joking that was it someone famous or a
footballer. She says it was Frank Mooney, but he just laughs and
said she'd have to be mad to get involved with him. He blames it
on her medication, telling her it'll take a while to get used to
them.
PART 2.
In the pub... Adam is sitting at the bar drinking when a woman
approaches him. He offers to buy her a drink but she declines
asking to a straight vodka then orders Adam one, making themv
both doubles.
In the mess... Charlie tells Sally that he never imagined her
being anyone's auntie and asks her where he's from, Sally says
Leeds where his mum lives. Craig then begins to talk to Stephen
asking him if he supports Leeds United and tells him he supports
Manchester United, then assumes that it must have been quite
scary coming down to London on his own. Stephen asks him if he's
a trainee or something and they all laugh. Frank then asks if
he's a rugby supporter...
In the pub... Adam complains that he feels ill and he's sweating,
the woman asks if he's ever had a drink spiked before... his
vision becomes blurred.
In the dorm... Sally finishes a phone call to Mick and Stephen
asks if he is her boyfriend as she talked 'All girlie' to him.
Sally then asks if he's called his mum yet and he says he's
forgotten the number. Then she asks if his dad is expecting him
and he says no and that he's probably down the pub anyway and
everytime he goes to him he's left alone in the house.
Craig and Charlie talk about Lisa, then Geoff quietens them,
saying children are present. Frank then tells Geoff that he'll go
on the family day after all making Geoff moan that he's had weeks
to put his name down.
B&B... Mick talks about getting other jobs... being a clown,
a cook... Shauna says he can't even cook an omlette.
Adam wakes up in a load of rubbish outside the station, his
wallet has been stolen...
The next morning in the lockers... George is sorting out contact
lense solution, when Geoff approaches and he hides it. George
says he didn't think anyone was up. Geoff then tells him he'd
better be careful with the lenses, they're expensive to replace.
George asks Geoff not to tell any of the lads. Geoff then moans
about Fiona standing him up and not going on the trip.
Outside the station... The watch all group outside the coach,
Mick arrives with Shauna and Liam. They all get on the bus. Mick
approaches Charlie, asking how work's going at the chippie.
Charlie tells him that Dom in getting a lawyer in the put it in
his name as he does all the work. Mick asks if it is true and he
admits - yes.
Shauna approaches Sally asking how she is. Then Sally asks how
the house is coming on, but she says Mick won't let her see it
and he thinks reminders of what happened might push her over the
edge. Sally tells her she doesn't think that she looks like
someone on the edge.
Stephen sits next to Lisa's son reading the porn magazine.
Charlie notices it and tries to get it off of him, telling him
he'll tell his aunt, then Stephen threatens to tell Lisa it's
his. Charlie then tells him not to ruin it and goes off.
They arrive at Southend and get off the coach as Geoff tells them
to pick up their schedules. Andie tells George he's going with
her and the others walk off, Adam last who has a beer can in his
hand.
George and Andie are in an optician's trying glasses for George.
The first pair are round and horrible and the second pair are
worse, they both agree it makes George look like a pervert.
By the pier... Mick walks ahead and Sally walks a bit behind as
Shauna and Frank trail at the back. Shauna tells Frank that Mick
is looking after her and Frank tells her that the watch need him
back. Mick and Sally stop at the end of a walkway and he notices
that Sally looks tense. He asks her if she's alright and she
blames it on women's troubles, then tells him if he doesn't know
what it is then not to bother. Mick reminds her that he's married
to Shauna and Sally tells him she knows that, but it doesn't stop
her having feelings... Shauna and Frank approach then Frank
suggests to Sally that they go and walk down by the beach.
Frank asks Sally if she's ok and she says she's fine, then
Stephen calls them both over...
PART 3.
On the beach the group and filling buckets with water and
throwing it on the baby whale. Craig explains to Stephen a lot
about the whale as he's watched programmes on them.
In a restaurant... Geoff talks to the owner saying the watch were
all supposed to meet, she tells him they're probably all too busy
enjoying themselves and forgot. Adam enters, who's obviously been
in the pub all afternoon. Geoff lectures him, then says it's up
to him what he does in his spare time.
Beside the whale... Craig explains to Mick that whales usually
only go to the beach if they are sick and can't carry on. Mick
suggests trying to put it back in the sea, but Craig doesn't
think his heart would take it.
In the restaurant... Geoff carries on moaning as Adam takes
another plate of food...
On the beach... The group try to pull the whale, but Craig calls
them to stop, the whale died.
On the coach... Stephen accuses them all of killing the whale.
Frank sits down next to him explaining that the whale came to the
beach to die, it's nature.
In the pub... Charlie says that seeing that whale was spiritual
and he has decided to open his own chippe. He's either going to
call it 'Free Willie's Fry's' or 'Whale Meet Again'.
Sally says that Stephen will probably think that she lives in a
right dump. Frank then offers her the spare room at his flat.
In the men's... Frank walks in after Mick and they talk. Frank
tells Mick that he should come back to work and stop treating
Shauna like she can't look after herself.
Lisa storms up to Sally, telling her that Stephen's got her kids
swearing, Sally says it could be her getting them to swear. Lisa
says she doesn't in front of her kids and that they did it in a
northern accent. Sally approaches Stephen who says something
again, then Sally asks where he got that word from. He pulls out
the porn magazine saying it's Charlie's. An argument starts and
Mick aproaches asking what's going on. Lisa's young girl says
'Just because you're wife's a looney' causing him to loose his
temper. He tells them to get on with it, walking off with Shauna
after him. She says Lisa's girl is only a little girl, but Mick
says if anyone messes with her they'll have him to deal with.
Shauna mentions he hasn't been there to protect her and walks
out. Mick then calls Liam and they leave.
Frank, Sally and Stephen enter Frank's very nice looking flat. He
explains he's looking after it for a friend.
At the pub... Andie and George argue about him wearing glasses as
he won't put them on. He gets up and goes to the bar, where Geoff
moans about Fiona not going out on the day trip.
At Frank's... They eat dinner, Frank asks Stephen if he enjoyed
his day but he begins to moan that they killed the whale again.
Frank talks to him, explaining facts about whales.
At the B&B... Mick asks Shauna if she slept with Frank, but
she says she'd never do that to him and no she didn't. Mick gets
up and goes out...
at Frank's... Sally puts Stephen to bed and they talk about
marriages. He asks why she's not married yet and she says she
hasn't found the right bloke.. Stephen has decided that he won't
get married, Sally tells him factfully that some marriages last a
life - time. Stephen is sure that they're all based on lies.
Sally tells him that his mum never lied to him...
Sally leaves the bedroom after Stephen falls asleep. She then
questions Frank on his family, as he never gives anyone away. He
reveals he had a brother and an 'old man' but they both died and
he cared for his mum but she was ill and didn't make it. There's
a hard bash at the door, it's Mick. Sally gets up and Frank hands
her the wine glass and she enters the bedroom. Frank answers the
door and Mick enters, commenting on his nice flat then punches
him...
PART 4.
In the pub... Geoff admits that he doesn't have leadership
skills. Then Adam asks George to play him a game of pool then to
get him a pint. They say it's his round and that he's not brought
a drink all night. Then Adam admits he was mugged the night
before. Geoff asks why he didn't say anything, Adam says it was
because he was mugged by a 'bird'.
At Frank's... Mick apologises to Frank for punching him... Sally
listens in from the bedroom. Mick reveals to Frank that Shauna
said that she'd slept with him, Frank tells him that she didn't
and reminds him that she's ill.
At the pub... Charlie explains to Geoff about the date - rape
drug (Liquid Ecstasy) and that it's colourless, odourless and
tasteless. George comes back from the bar, saying the bar people
remember the woman.
At Frank's... Frank tells Mick to get back to work... Stephen
gets up and walks to the football table, Sally then whispers over
to him, and they sit together on the floor... Frank advises Mick
on how to treat Shauna, to treat her like she's wanted.
At the pub... Geoff apologises to Adam about stepping him down.
Adam then says he respects him for doing so and not a lot of
people would have done it. Geoff then mentions about him saying
earlier that Adam can do what he wants in his spare time, he then
says he can't and that he's 'Blue Watch first and last'.
At Frank's... Mick leaves and Sally walks out of the bedroom.
Sally notices Frank's lip, then her phone rings, she answers,
it's Mick. Sally tells him that she can't really talk right now.
He sits in his car and talks quickly. Explaining she was right
and he does have feelings but he can't act on them. The call
ends... Sally and Frank kiss...
B&B... It's the morning, Mick's about to go back to work...
At Frank's... Sally calls Stephen saying if he doesn't hurry up
he'll miss the train. Frank promises Stephen that they'll do some
lads stuff togther when he comes back down. Sally tell Frank
she'll see him at the station and kisses him before she leaves.
In the mess... Lisa is cooking breakfast when Charlie enters and
apologises to her about the porn magazine and says he doesn't
like any of that stuff not that he doesn't approve with her work.
Lisa then tells him that she doesn't do phone sex and that was
just a joke.
Geoff is sitting in the Station Officer's office on the phone to
Fiona asking how her trip back was, when Mick enters. He finishes
the call and welcomes Mick back.
The watch group out in the appliance area, welcoming Mick back as
they get ready for role - call. George stands wearing glasses
resembling Dame Edna's then puts on another pair...
