The watch are
training out in the station's yard.
After the training drill has finished, Geoff starts moaning at
Hyper about the placement of the ladder against the wall.
When the watch enter the station again, Adam notices Elaine. She
asks him about doing a favour for her as it is Mrs. Redman's 50TH
Birthday the next day and she wanted to do something special for
her. Adam is aprehensive at first, then agrees.

George wants to check to see how the money from his wedding ring
in doing. Recall still hasn't told him that they went bust and
both Recall and Adam don't fancy telling George. So George goes
and attempts to check the shares himself.
Maggie asks Geoff how Eve and Fiona are and asks if he thinks
Fiona would mind company as she'd like to go and see them.
Geoff then goes and moans at Hyper again as he doesn't think he's
treating Melissa well.
The bells go down... A person is trapped, the Pump Ladder only
are needed.

The Pump Ladder crew arrive outside a house. A woman is standing
at the door of her house. She explains that Mr. Thompkins is
trapped under the floor boards. Mr. Thompkins in then revealed to
be a cat.
The PL crew enter the house and go through to the kitchen and
begin to take up the floor boards.
-----------------------
At the station... Maggie and Coleman sit in the mess. Coleman
asks Maggie if she approves of Alison and she says she does.

At the woman's house... Adam flirts with her and offers to come
back later on and sort out her kitchen for her.

Coleman is talking to a group of pensioners about fire safety.
After the talk has finished, he talked to Alison briefly before a
man approaches him. He reveals he used to work at Blackwall in
the summer time of 1954.

At the woman's house... The watch are still having no luck with
the cat, so Adam decides to try something. He attaches the alarm
from a BA kit to a coat hanger and put it down under the floor
boards and sets it off. The cat finally runs out, then when Adam
goes to get the alarm out, it has fallen off of the coat hanger.

Adam finally retrieves the alarm from under the floor boards.

At a hall somewhere... Coleman carries on talking to the
pensioner who used to be in the brigade. He tells Coleman he was
pensioned off in November 1960.
Alison interrupts the two of them.

At the station... After arriving back from the shout, Hyper tells
Melissa that he's going to tell Coleman about her 'file'.
In the locker area... Adam asks the lads about helping him with
the birthday bash and tells them to trust him... they're
oblivious of what's to come.
------------------
At Geoff and Fiona's house... Maggie is in the living room with
Fiona. Eve continuously cries, Fiona hands her over to Maggie but
she doesn't stop crying. Geoff then arrives home and takes hold
of Eve, then takes her out of the living room so that her could
go and change her.
Maggie questions how Fiona is with Geoff as she notices something
is wrong. Geoff makes a slight excuse and leaves it at that.

At the woman's house... George and Adam are in the kitchen with
her. George begins work on the floor as the woman takes Adam
upstairs...
------------------
At a bowling alley... Coleman and Alison arrive. She compares it
with the ballroom dancing, then goes and pays for an alley.

At the Oliver Twist...
Kate and Hi - Ho are enjoying each others company, then Andie
arrives. She asks if George was around, but he wasn't. Andie
reveals that George was supposed to be doing a training session
in the gym. She asks what art Hi - Ho does and he says Kung Fu,
so she asks him if he can go with her and do a session over at
the gym.

At the bowling alley... Alison does two shots and scores a
strike. She then takes a ball and passes it to Coleman, who goes
strange and puts the ball down and leaves...

The watch arrive in at the station in the morning... Hyper
attempts to talk to Coleman about Melissa, but Coleman won't take
any notice.

In the mess... Geoff enters the mess where Recall and Adam are
sitting at the DreamCast. He's looking for Melissa.
Maggie then offers to give Fiona a hand sometimes, but Geoff is
positive that Fiona's capable on her own.

Melissa is sitting in an office cleaning BA kits when Griggs
enters. She tells him that Hyper had found her 'file' and Griggs
doesn't know what she's going on about.
Melissa thinks that Griggs asked her to prepare a file about the
watch, he just wanted her 'thoughts' on the watch and nothing
formal.

A group of children are on a school trip at a Freshwater Pumping
Station. A man begins to give them a tour and one of the boys
wanders off alone. He goes down a staircase, which is stripped
off so that no one is supposed to go down.
---------------------
Alison calls Coleman's office, he answers the phone then hastily
hangs up. Geoff informs Coleman that they're just about to leave
for the inspection.
--------------------
At the Freshwater Pumping Station... The watch begin to inspect
the outside of the building.
Melissa tells Sally about her misinterpretation of Griggs. Sally
tells her she can't believe how stupid she was and informs her
that Griggs had, had it in for the Blue Watch since day one.
Melissa asks Sally's opinion on how she could make it up to
Hyper. Sally advises Melissa to do it face - to - face so then he
would have a bit of respect for her.
The people inside the building are calling the boy's name, the
boy can hear, but he carries on going further down certain
staircases and tunnels. He slips on a step and falls under water.
The instructor of the group of children tells the others to stay
where they are and to not move. He then runs outside to the
brigade who all go and get kitted up in BA.
Inside the building... The watch get paired off and are told to
go off in separate directions.
Rob and Geoff finally spot the boy after going down different
staircases. Geoff goes down towards the boy as Hyper informs
Coleman over the radio that they've found the boy and asks for an
ambulance to be called to the scene.
Coleman tells Hi - Ho to go and find someone to turn off the
water and radios the fire figher's to all get out from down
below.
A huge gush of water appears where Hyper and Geoff are, Geoff is
further down and ends up getting swept away by the current.
Hyper goes down slightly, trying to see if he could spot Geoff,
then orders Melissa to try to get the water turned off. Hyper
later ends up getting roped up and goes into the water in search
for Geoff.
Meanwhile, Geoff slips slightly unconscious under the water.

The boy is taken out of the building on a stretcher by
paramedics.

Hyper finds Geoff and tries to keep him as focussed as possible.
He tries to get him up onto a ledge but fails, then tells Geoff
that he was going to have to go underneath him and push him up.
He does so and finally gets Geoff onto the ledge.

Melissa radios Coleman and tells him that she had lost radio
contact with Hyper.
--------------------
Hyper tries to keep Geoff warm by rubbing him then laying
practically on top of him. He tells Geoff to get into the
recovery position. Geoff is so cold, it's revealed by Hyper that
he is Borderline Hypothermic.
Meanwhile... Adam and Melissa begin to search for Hyper and Geoff
without any luck. But they eventually find them.

Outside the Freshwater Pumping Station... Various watch members
make sure Geoff is ok as he sits on the step of the ambulance.
Geoff approaches Hyper and thanks him for saving his life.
-------------------
Later on in the evening... The watch leave the station.
Melissa hands Hyper the 'file' and tells him he can do whatever
he wants with it.
-------------------
Sean appears up in the locker area where Melissa and Sally are
talking and are planning on a night out. Sean tells them he knows
a good wine bar and tags along with them.

At the Oliver Twist... Certain male members of the watch are
dressed up as school boy's for Mrs. Redman's birthday do. They
all moan at Adam for not telling them directly what they were
doing.
Elaine is dressed as a Headmistress and is running the evening
do.

At a wine bar... Sally, Sean and Melissa are sitting at a table
and Melissa notices the slight flirting.
--------------------
Coleman is sitting in his office and the phone rings. It's Alison
again. They agree they need to talk and Coleman tells her that
he'll pick her up.
------------------
At the wine bar... Melissa gets a call on her mobile, then makes
an excuse before leaving. Sean suggests that him and Sally should
go onto a club, but she says she should be getting home.

Coleman and Alison walk beside the River Thames.
--------------------
Melissa enters Griggs' office... He asks her about her 'thoughts'
on the the Blue Watch. She tells him completely what he doesn't
want to hear, telling him they're a "Damn fine watch."

At Hyper and Sally's flat... Sally is sitting on the sofa
watching Ian Wright on the TV, then the doorbell rings. She
walked towards the door, opening it when the chain is on. It's
Sean. He tells her she left this (a £20 note) on her chair at
the wine bar. Sally invites him in.

Coleman reveals to Alison that Tuesday and Thursday nights were
always his and his wife's bowling nights. He reveals, in Autumn
1978 they seemed to argue a lot. On a certain day she asked him
to take her out. He agreed, he was tired and ended up falling
asleep at the wheel of his car. His wife died and she was three
months pregnant.

At Hyper and Sally's flat... Sally checks her money and tells
Sean that the £20 isn't hers. He asks her for a cuppa, she
agrees and goes out into the kitchen, turning on the kettle and
getting a carton of milk out of the fridge. She turns and he is
close to her and forces himself upon her.

At the Oliver Twist...
Elaine closes the pub and thanks the members of the watch who
helped out. Adam pays them all then after others had left, he
pays Recall extra giving him his share as well as the entrance
fees, so that it would all make up from the money from the shares
that were lost.

At Hyper and Sally's flat... Everything is a mess, clothes are
scattered on the floor and Sally is crying in the shower...
