Recall drops Ben
off outside a Fire Station on his first day at work. He wishes
him luck and hands him a lucky keyring, which he has had since
his very first day.

Sally and Hyper sit in their kitchen eating breakfast. Luke gets
up, asking if Adam has gone and they say he has.
Luke asks Hyper if he'd like to go out for a drink in the
evening, but Hyper tells him he's busy. Hyper walks off and Sally
tells Luke at least he tried.
------------------------
In the lockers...
Adam asks Recall how things are with him and Elaine, calling
Recall step - dad. Adam asks Recall if he's ever wondered about
Elaine's ex's especially the man who looks like him, Adam says
that's his dad, making Elaine his mum. He then asks where
Recall's loyalty lies, is he his mate or just the guy whose
shagging his mother.

Geoff leaves his house for work and Fiona walks into the kitchen
with a basket of washing, noticing that Blue has dragged all of
the laundry out of the washing machine.

In the lockers...
Hyper announces to everyone that Naomi - the nurse, has asked Hi
- Ho out.

There's a knock at the pub's door. Recall enters asking Elaine if
what Adam has told him is true.
Elaine tells Recall that she needs to talk to Adam and if he
could ask Adam to go over there.

Geoff answers the phone in the mess, it's Andie. She tells Geoff
that Fiona has asked her to tell him that Blue's having puppies.
------------------------------
Role - call...
Geoff calls Adam over, telling him that Blue is apparently giving
birth (See quotes...). Adam apologises to Geoff, then Geoff
suggests seeing as they all brought Blue as a present, that they
all have a puppy each.
The bells go down... Pump Ladder only. Hi - Ho starts questioning
what is he going to do with a dog?

They arrive on scene, a man has fallen down a light well. They go
and knock on the door of the woman who he is having an affair
with. She won't let them in, saying he managed to get down there,
so he can get back up himself.
Geoff tells the watch to go up on the roof. They go up, noticing
Mr. Newton stuck upside down hanging by his leg, which is
connected to bed sheets. Geoff tells Sally to go and get a ladder
down there.
Sally and Hi - Ho go down and free the man and goes up on the
ladder. He meets the woman at the window and promises her that
he'll leave his wife. His phone then rings and he lies to his
wife about what he's doing, saying he's watering the windw box.
He then says to Sally and Hi - Ho that his wife will be home
soon, so they begin to hurry, he gives Sally a description, then
she gives it to the rest of the watch on the roof who look out
for the woman. Mr. Newton gets up too late, his wife notices him
coming in through the window.

The watch arrive back, Hyper tells Geoff that Fiona is on the
phone...

In the mess...
Geoff breaks the news to the watch, telling them that there is
only one puppy left, there was three but the other two Fiona is
giving to friends.

In the lockers...
Recall tells Adam to go and talk to Elaine...

Hyper is in the gym, Sally enters and they talk about Luke asking
Hyper out. Hyper says he doesn't think Luke's ready, then Sally
questions is it really Luke whose not ready?

Geoff approaches the watch and tells them that him and Fiona have
decided that Hi - Ho should have the puppy, seeing as he has the
most stable living environment as dogs pick up on that.

In the Oliver Twist...
They all ask Hi - Ho what he is going to call the dog. They all
joke saying he's gonig to call it Naomi.
Ben arrives in the pub and Recall asks him how his first day
went...
Luke arrives as the watch are all grouped around the pool table.
Luke offers to buy Hyper a drink, Hyper tells him that someone
has already brought him one. Luke goes to leave and Hyper stops
him. He suggests that they should go somewhere else. Hyper
apologises to the others, then leaves with Luke.
Adam enters the pub...

It's the end of
the evening, Elaine gives Adam a photo of her and him when he was
4 months old. She was 17 with a baby. She explains that she
paniced and left him with Martin and when she returned they took
him away from her. She explains that his dad must have upset
Martin because he then allowed her to see him but under one
condition, she was 'Aunty' Elaine and not his mother.
Adam only sees it as Elaine leaving him and tells her he used to
always wonder where she was. She apologises, although he won't
take it.

Hi - Ho arrives back at Naomi's house after they had a night out
and looks at the photo's in her living room of her and her dog.
-----------------------
Adam arrives at Recall's, telling him that he can't go back to
the pub.
Ben enters and Recall tells him to leave them for a moment.
Recall tells Adam that he has no idea what Elaine is going
through, Recall then goes on about his wife and kids, about how
he let them go cause he knew they were happy.
-------------------------
Hi - Ho admits to Naomi that he isn't 'into' dogs. Then he
reveals that Geoff wants him to have one of his dog's puppies.
Naomi gives him some advice, tells him to be honest with Geoff.
Hi - Ho thanks Naomi for the advice, quickly kisses her on the
cheek and leaves.

They all question how Hi - Ho's night was when they all arrive in
the station. Hi - Ho tells them that she gave him some good
advice.

In the mess...
Maggie moans when Geoff enters with the puppy in his arms about
having animals in her kitchen. He then reveals a toy dog in the
blanket, telling Hi - Ho that he is going to ask Pitbull if he
wants the puppy seeing as he is a dog person.
------------------------------
Elaine is asleep on the sofa, Adam enters the room and calls her
'Mum' to get her attention, then tells her that he had always
wanted to know what it sounded like. He sits down next to her and
apologises about the night before. They talk about when he was
young, then asks her if she remembers when she brought him a bike
when he was 14 and that he sold it so that he could go halves on
a scooter with Frank. Elaine tells him she knew about that. Adam
then says he always though his mother should be doing things like
that for him the confesses that he always used to wish that she
was him mum awww!

In the mess...
Adam tells Maggie that there is a call for her in Coleman's
office. Maggie later re - enters looking stunned. Sally asks if
she's ok, then she reveals that Derek is in hospital and that
he's had a Heart Attack.

In the Children's Ward...
A Doctor walks into a room where a girl - Cara, is comatose and
the parents are sitting by her bed. The father tells the mother
that is it time to let go, but she won't let the machine's get
turned off.
The doctor calls the husband outside, advising him to give his
wife some time. She advises their councilling service being very
good, he then sarcastically brings up their surgery. His daughter
had been in a coma for 5 months because surgeon's had messed up.

Coleman and Maggie arrive at the hospital to go and visit Derek.
Coleman asks if she knows what ward Derek is on and she tells him
that she was told over the phone that he was on the Cardiac Ward.
They get in the lift to go up to the Cardiac floor and the lift
breaks down and they lights go off.
Coleman tries to emergency phone system, but it's not working, he
then tries his mobile but he can't get a signal.
Someone torches the hospital's linen cupboard.

On the roof garden...
Adam thanks Recall and tells him that he thinks him and Elaine
will be ok. Then Recall wonders how he will be with Elaine now
and says to Adam like he said earlier 'Am I you're mate, or just
the guy who's shagging you're mother, cause I can't be both.'
Recall walks off, then the bells go down and Adam follows.
Fire... the Royal Infirmiry. Both.
On the way they are informed that all station's are attending.
On arrival, Steve Prentiss briefs Geoff on everything, then Geoff
gives each of the watch tasks to do.
Adam and Recall enter the hospital. It is thick with smoke. They
walks around and there is a slight explosion. Surgeon's move a
trolley out of an operating room.
The ALP is taken up and sprays are put up onto the roof.
Steve Prentiss orders around on what to do for the people
outside.
A group of the watch follow Geoff in, he opens a door and they
enter a room.

Maggie and Coleman are still trapped in the lift and are
oblivious to what is going on outside...

Geoff's crew are still fighting the fire, a shelf collapses on
Geoff and they help him up. They are ordered out of their quickly
over the radio, after being informed that there is some kind of
gas canisters inside.
Griggs arrives outside and asks Steve Prentiss how everything is
going.
Adam and Recall enter the Children's Ward and guide the people
out. The woman of the comatose girl - Cara, doesn't want to leave
her. Adam promises that he'll go and get her.

Coleman tells Maggie that the lift is definitely broken. Maggie
begins to give up hope of seeing Derek before he dies, she then
reveals that she never reallt loved him.
------------------------------
Geoff calls BA Control telling them that they've extinguished the
fire in the linen cupboard. They are told to assist Adam and
Recall in the second floor.
Recall and Adam extinguish the flames in the Children's Ward, the
ceiling begins to collapse slightly.
Adam spots the comatose girl in her room and he enters, radioing
for a doctor to be put on the line so that he knows what to do.

Maggie tells Coleman that she married Derek on the rebound and
that she still thinks about 'Her Albie'. Coleman tells her that
he's sure that isn't true and that he thought, after his wife
died, that no - one could ever replace her. He went for 22 -
years without anyone. He tells Maggie that Derek will pull
through.
--------------------------------
Adam carries the girl out of the fire and takes her to an
ambulance.
It is decided that the fire was started deliberately as small
fires begin to start up all over the building.
In an ambulance Cara is put onto a ventilator and Adam hands her
shirt to them, which he found.
In the Command Unit, Griggs asks Geoff if he has any ideas how
the fire started.
A person begins to throw white sprit over the floor in the
hospital.
Derek appears outside and approaches the watch as they fight the
flames. Sally asks if he's seen Maggie and he says he's seen no
sign of her. Sally explains that Maggie went straight down there
as soon as she heard about him.
Sally calls Geoff over, saying that Maggie never made it to
Derek. Geoff knew that Maggie went with her and makes a request
that Coleman's mobile is called.

Coleman tries to force the doors
in the lift, he opens them and him and Maggie get out, coughing
and spluttering. Coleman grabs an extinguisher and they make
their way to a window. They open it, but flames appear, so they
walk back.

Griggs asks for a BA crew to be sent to each floor...
-------------------------
Coleman and Maggie go up a floor, they go into a smoke well,
Coleman sits Maggie down and asks her to stay there. She asks him
not to leave her and he promises that he'll come back for her.
Coleman walks down the corridor and tries to open a door, but it
is bolted shut.
Coleman takes another turning and a piece of ceiling collapses on
him, trapping him.
Sally and Hi - Ho walk up a staircase, then find Maggie on the
floor in a corridor. They ask her where the Guv is and Maggie
tells them where he went.
Sally radios Geoff in the Command Unit, telling him that they
have found Maggie.
Sally and Hi - Ho carry on walking and find Coleman, he's
trapped, but they free him. Sally radios to say they've found
him.
Adam and Recall spot someone in the room.
Geoff tells Griggs that he thinks it's the arsonist, who's
starting the fires.
Recall and Adam see the arsonist pouring something around. They
try to stop him, then the arsonist hits Adam, knocking him down
then fights with him and Recall. The Arsonist then says that they
killed his Dani, he's a security guard and work's at the
hospital. The security guard puts up the flame of his lighter.
Recall wrestles with him to put it out, then the man goes through
the window, landing on the ground below.
Recall is left hanging from a building. Adam tries as hard as he
can to pull him up and eventually does.
