TELLY chiefs are considering a new version of London's Burning - to be set in Middlesbrough or Manchester.

The ITV show was axed after 14 years when audience figures slumped from a peak of 16 million to just 5 million.

The new show would feature more on the private lives of the crews.

A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokeswoman confirmed they had been in talks with producers.
