London's Burning mark 10 years with hot stunt.
London's Burning celebrates its 10th anniversary with a bang - and a spectacular £1million stunt.
The hit drama returns with the Blue Watch boys being called to a massive fire on board a speeding train (Sunday, ITV, 9pm). To their horror they find it has stopped at a station and threatens to spread to other trains and buildings. It's work for the show's longest serving stars, Glen Murphy (George), and Richard Walsh (Sicknote) who have been in the show since it started in 1987. Richard, 42, says: We've progressed a great deal. We can now do spectacular things with fire.
The new series will put minds of the show £14million fans at rest. The last show ended with Recall, Sicknote, Skippy and Pearce involved in a horror fire engine crash. It now starts three months later and Skippy has been pensioned off after suffering severe injuries.
He is replaced by hunky actor Steve Houghton who is set to become a heart-throb as firefighter Gregg Blake.
Steve, 26, who spent three weeks with real firemen to prepare for his role, said: I could never be a fireman. I hated the early starts and lifting the heavy loads.
